Mark
Mark plays the John Frusciante guitar parts. Few notes, each in the right place, and then suddenly a solo that silences the whole room.
What he does in the show
Frusciante rarely plays what you expect. The intro of Californication, the funk chords in Can’t Stop, the solo in Dani California: each song needs its own sound. Mark switches between them with his pedals and his hands, without a computer.
He also sings backing vocals. In the Peppers’ sound, those harmonies are as recognisable as the guitar itself.
