✱Price and quotes
What does a tribute band cost?
The price of a live band depends on a handful of things you control as an organiser. This page lists them and shows you how to compare two quotes fairly. We don’t put a fixed price on the site: you get a proposal for your date and your venue.
What the price depends on
Set length
A one-hour festival set is a different night from three sets at a wedding. Keep in mind that load-in, soundcheck, travel and load-out stay the same when we play shorter.
Sound and lights
If the venue already has a PA and a sound engineer, there’s less to arrange. We bring our own mixing desk either way; PA and lights we agree per show. See the tech page.
The location
Where the event is decides how long four musicians and their gear are on the road. We’re based in North Brabant; put the place in your request.
The date
On a popular date every band has less choice. Feel free to suggest a few options.
What happens around the show
An early load-in because there’s a daytime programme, or two stages in one night? Put it in your request and we’ll take it into account.
How to compare two quotes
- Count the minutes of music
Add up the playing time. Three 40-minute sets is two hours of music.
- Check what’s included
PA, lights, a sound engineer, the mixing desk: is it in the quote, or do you arrange it?
- Ask about the times
When does the band arrive, when is the soundcheck, and when does the music stop?
- Look for the small costs
Travel, parking, food and drinks for the band. Ask whether they’re in the price.
- Sort out the music licence
For a public show the organiser or the venue arranges the licence with Buma; many bars and halls already have one. A private party for family and friends usually doesn’t need one. In Belgium this runs through SABAM.
What to tell us for a proposal
The date (or a few options), the place, the kind of event, roughly how many people are coming and how much music you want. If you know what sound gear the venue has, add that too. Then we can send a proposal straight away.
The booking form asks for exactly these things. Not sure of the date yet? Say roughly when in your message.
Questions about price
Why is there no price on your site?
A bar night in Uden and a festival in Zeeland are two different nights. A fixed price on the site would be too high for one and too low for the other. You get a proposal for your event.
Does the set length affect the price?
Yes, set length is one of the things that set the price. Load-in, soundcheck and travel stay the same however long we play. You’ll see the difference in the proposal.
Do we need to arrange the sound?
That depends on the venue. We bring our own mixing desk; PA and lights we agree per show. See tech and rider.
Who pays the performing rights?
For a public show the organiser or the venue arranges the licence: Buma in the Netherlands, SABAM in Belgium. Many venues already have one. A private party for family and friends usually doesn’t need one; if in doubt, ask Buma.
