05For bars and venues
Up close, sweaty and loud
In a bar the crowd stands a metre from the band. That’s where the Peppers’ music works best.

The bar night and the club show
A bar night is two sets of 45 minutes, with a break for the bar. In a music venue we play a club show: two times 45 minutes or one 90-minute block. There we can go deeper, with songs like Parallel Universe, Otherside and a long jam at the end.
Our first show was at Soos Plock in Volkel: two sets and a packed room. Those are the nights we’re after.
How the night runs
- Setup
We’re in about 90 minutes before the start. A corner of six by four metres is enough.
- Soundcheck
With our own mixing desk. We set the sound to suit the room, not the other way round.
- Set one
45 minutes to warm up the room.
- Set two
45 minutes to bring the roof down.
Questions from bars and venues
Do you work on a door deal?
We can talk about it. Tell us in your request how you usually arrange it.
Do you need your own PA?
Depends on the venue. We bring our own mixing desk; we agree on the PA for each night.
How loud is it?
As loud as your room can take. We stick to the venue’s sound limits.
Your stage, our funk.
Tell us the date and the place. Jan, who handles our bookings, will come back to you with availability and a proposal.
