Your birthday, with Under the Bridge live
Grew up on Californication or Blood Sugar Sex Magik? Celebrate your birthday with those songs live. We play in a hall, a bar or a marquee, and you or the guest of honour pick the songs.
A party night or a surprise
For a big party we play three sets of about 40 minutes, around the speeches, the buffet and the cake. Want one big moment in the evening? Then we play a short set of 45 to 60 minutes, for example as a surprise for the guest of honour.
For a surprise we plan everything with you and keep the guest of honour out of it. Mention it in your request and we’ll keep quiet.
You choose the songs
You get our repertoire and pick the songs that must be in and the ones that can wait. The first song is for the guest of honour: Under the Bridge, Scar Tissue or Give It Away, whatever suits the party.
What to arrange beforehand
- The space
A hall, bar, barn or marquee with a dry, level spot for four musicians and a drum kit.
- Power
Sockets close to where we play. In a marquee or barn, ask the hire company how many circuits there are.
- Sound and neighbours
At home or outdoors? Check with your local council whether you need to notify them or get a permit for amplified music, and tell the neighbours. A private party for family and friends usually needs no Buma licence.
- The times
Tell us when the guests arrive and when the music has to stop. We plan the sets around that.
Questions about birthdays and private parties
Do you play in a garden or a barn?
If there’s power, a dry level spot and a roof over the band, we’re happy to look at it. Describe the space in your request.
Can you do a surprise show?
Yes. We arrange everything with you. Mention in your request that it’s a surprise.
How many guests do we need?
Tell us in your request how many people you expect and what the space looks like. For the band, what counts is room for four musicians and a drum kit.
