It feels unreal to write this. After months of preparation, rehearsals late into the night and countless coffees spent talking through every detail, the day has come. Our recordings of three of the best-known Red Hot Chili Peppers songs are out: By the Way, Dani California and Scar Tissue.
A dream come true
As a tribute band we want to capture the essence of the Red Hot Chili Peppers as purely as we can. But these recordings were different. This was personal. We approached every chord, every bass line and every drum fill with love and respect for the original. These songs shaped us as musicians, and now we get to share them the way we feel them.
The studio
None of this would have happened without the team at SoundQuest in Veghel. From the moment we walked into their studio, we felt at home. The living-room atmosphere and the professional gear made it the right place to record our songs. The mixing and mastering are top quality, and you can hear it in every note.
Three songs, three stories
By the Way, the opener that pulls you straight in. Dani California, the story that races through rock history. Scar Tissue, the ballad that gets under your skin. Each song has its own character and its own challenge. We tried to catch the raw energy of the original and add something of ourselves.
Thank you
This project was a journey full of passion, frustration, breakthroughs and joy. We’re grateful to everyone who supported us: our families, friends and of course you, our fans. And a special thank you to SoundQuest.
