Red Hot Chili Peppers live in the Netherlands

The Red Hot Chili Peppers go back a long way in the Netherlands. They played Paradiso when they were still a club band, and closed Pinkpop in 2023. This guide puts it all in one place. We checked every fact in at least two sources or in the original source; you will find them under each article.

Where they played

Twenty-eight times, in Eindhoven, Utrecht, Amsterdam, Tilburg, Hilversum, Rotterdam, Geleen, The Hague, Landgraaf and Nijmegen. Rotterdam Ahoy hosted them five times, Pinkpop five times as well, the Goffertpark three times. They never played GelreDome, even if that claim pops up now and then. All dates, venues and tours: every time the Red Hot Chili Peppers played the Netherlands.

Are they coming back?

As of 15 October 2026 there is no European tour planned, for 2027 either. The band is writing new music. Flea played solo at Paradiso and at North Sea Jazz this year. We keep track in are the Red Hot Chili Peppers coming to the Netherlands in 2026 or 2027?

The big nights

Slane Castle, Hyde Park, the lightbulbs at Woodstock and Pinkpop 1988 with Hillel Slovak: our picks are in the 10 best Red Hot Chili Peppers live moments. Why no two of their concerts are alike, Frusciante, Chad Smith and Flea explain themselves in from the archive: how the Red Hot Chili Peppers jam on stage.

Hearing the songs live in 2026

Until the band returns, you can hear the songs from a tribute band. De Peppers is one: Daan sings, Mark plays guitar, Tom bass and Jan drums. We play only the Red Hot Chili Peppers, from Give It Away to Snow (Hey Oh). What we play is on our setlist, who we are on the band page.

Why a tribute band in a small venue gives you something a stadium can't, our editors argue in the column why you should see a tribute band in a small venue.
