What we know about Greece in 2027
Nothing is announced. The official tour page is empty and the Greek press has no new date. The band is writing its next album. After every album since 2006 a world tour followed, but Greece was on only one of them.
The one 2027 date going around, a festival in Rosario in Argentina on 12 June, was denied by the band with "Sorry not us" (Noticias NQN).
OAKA, 4 September 2012: their only Greek show
The Red Hot Chili Peppers played Greece once, at the Olympic Stadium in Athens, on the I'm with You tour. The Greek band Sunny Side Of The Razor and the British As Able As Kane opened (Proto Thema).
- 22 songs, from Monarchy of Roses to Give It Away (setlist.fm).
- Guitarist Josh Klinghoffer played the whole show seated, with a broken foot.
- In the middle of the debt crisis Flea told the crowd that on television Greece looked like it was suffering, but that the band had received nothing but love and hospitality (Rock Rooster).
- The stadium was almost full, according to Rock Rooster. There is no official attendance figure.
Ejekt 2020: booked, moved, cancelled

So Greece has been waiting since 2012. When the band went back on the road in 2022 and 2023, Athens was not on the list.
How tickets were sold
2012, OAKA. Organised by Live Nation and Big Star Touring. The presale started on 20 December 2011 at 10:30, at Ticket House in Athens, Musicland in Thessaloniki and online on ticketpro.gr and tickethouse.gr (in.gr, mad.gr). That was more than eight months before the show.
2020, Ejekt. Organised by Ejekt and MGT Productions. The presale started on 21 November 2019 at 12:00 on viva.gr, public.gr and in Public stores; a week later more points of sale were added (Athinorama). The early-bird tickets sold out in every zone.

Live in the meantime
Until the band comes back to Greece, you can hear the songs from a tribute band. We are one: De Peppers, a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band from the Netherlands. We are not the Red Hot Chili Peppers and we do not sell tickets for their concerts. On Saturday 12 December 2026 we play Soos Plock in Volkel, about half an hour from Eindhoven Airport.
